I am a PGCE qualified school teacher with a BSc (Hons) in Geology and Geography from the University of Exeter. I am a teacher with a national reputation for innovative geography and geology field studies courses through my work over the past 29 years.
I have worked in field study centres across the UK, most recently spending 20 years as the manager of a busy residential study centre in Dorset.
I have substantial experience of teaching GCSE, IGCSE and A Level Geography and Geology, and I keep updated by attending teacher training events and conferences each year.
I live in Dorset close to the Jurassic Coast. I have a wide range of interests and also run my own business. I have a dog, Ziggy, and she and I spent a lot of time walking and running along the coast. I enjoy live music, gardening and travel. My wife and I are keen cyclists and visit the Greek Islands with our bikes for a few weeks each year of sunny cycling and swimming in crystal clear seas.
