About the tutor team - this is Dr Janet Rose - History Tutor

It was while I was researching my doctorate in History at the University of Oxford that I first started tutoring. I went on to work as an Academic Mentor and Private Tutor for 12 years. During this time, I gained my teaching qualifications, became a member of the Tutors Association and taught hundreds of students from GCSE to PhD level. I am now an International Tutor and an Educational Consultant.

I founded the Tutor Team because I know how difficult it can be to find a high-quality tutor, especially if you need more than one to cover a variety of subjects. Good tutors who get results are always highly in demand, and sadly there are plenty of poorly qualified or inexperienced individuals willing to step into the gap.

Our Values

I believe that if you’re going to pay for private tuition, you deserve to get high-calibre professionals. That’s exactly what you’ll find here: Oxbridge graduates, tutors with Masters’ Degrees and PhDs, heads of departments at top private schools, examiners for various exams boards and editors of professional journals. We even have tutors who have written the official Study Guides for UK exam boards. At The Tutor Team we aim to empower students to achieve their full academic potential by introducing them to tutors who have already achieved academic and career excellence.

How we work

We approach each student on an individual basis, listening carefully to their needs and finding them the right tutor or tutors to help them achieve their particular goals. Our office staff are all mums (we have 8 children and 4 grandchildren between us) so we understand exactly how it feels when your child starts to struggle with learning. Potential clients are welcome to give us a call for a friendly chat and to find out how we can help you.

You’ll get a Team Coordinator who will act as your key point of contact and can answer questions, offer advice and listen to any concerns you may have.

You’ll also get your own online dashboard, which is designed to let you manage your learning journey simply and all in one place. You’ll be able to see the lessons you’ve booked, view lesson reports from your tutor, view your account balance and pay invoices, all from your computer, tablet or phone.

Whether you’re ready to get started or you want to discuss your options, get in touch to find out how The Tutor Team can help.
